Polk enters into a major strategic alliance with Marketing Systems GmbH, headquartered in Essen, Germany. Marketing Systems GmbH is the world's leader in providing sales forecasting and registration statistics outside North America to the motor vehicle industry.

Global expansion continues with the acquisition of the assets and operations of the MSS division of Automatic Data Processing's European Operations. The newly acquired division is a European leader in the management and development of marketing databases for automotive manufacturers.
